Respiratory Safety

Immunocompromised, disabled, and chronically ill community members deserve safe access to cultural events. During Pride month, most gathering spaces don’t account for respiratory risk such as COVID-19, measles, RSV, and flu. QWOCFF does.
Clean Air Commitment

What We Do to Keep
the Air Safe

QWOCMAP works closely with the Presidio Theatre to maintain clean air throughout the festival.

Fresh Air Circulation

Fresh air is pumped into the building between screenings and overnight to refresh the indoor air.

Advanced Air Filtration

The HVAC system runs double-filtered air through two sets of MERV-13 filters, with up to 8 air changes per hour.

HEPA Air Purifiers

Mobile HEPA air purifiers run continuously in the lower lobby and All-Genders bathrooms. These units are mechanical filtration only and do not produce ozone.

Fragrance-Free Environment

All cleaning products, hand soap, and supplies used during the festival are fragrance-free and non-toxic.

Free Masks Available

Free masks are available at the Front Desk in multiple styles, including over-the-head and over-the-ear masks.
Our Request

What We Ask of You

Creating a safer space for everyone requires community care. Here’s how attendees can help protect one another.
1

If You’re Feeling Sick

Please stay home if you are feeling unwell, even if symptoms are mild. You can still participate by watching the free online Encore Screening in September, available worldwide.
2

Masking

Masks are required at all times. Free masks are available at the Front Desk. We suggest masking outdoors as well, unless actively eating or drinking.
3

Initial Screening

To keep indoor air safer for everyone, all food and drinks from concessions must be consumed outside the theater. The Presidio can get windy, so we recommend dressing in layers.
4

Vaccinations & Boosters

We encourage everyone to stay up to date with the latest COVID vaccinations and boosters. Some health experts also recommend reviewing other vaccinations after COVID infection, such as measles boosters.
5

Antigen Testing

We suggest taking an antigen test on the day of your visit. Free tests are available at the Front Desk and can be self-administered upon arrival.
