Production, videography, editing, and consultation for nonprofits, foundations, arts organizations, and individual artists, grounded in QWOCMAP's Film AS Movement framework.
Decades of industry experience grounded in an intersectional queer and trans feminist of color approach, combining cultural humility with rigorous artistic craft.
From dancers to speakers to social movements, we capture presence and meaning — making your work shine with clarity and lyricism.
I so love that you and the team were a part of this wonderful experience with me. Everyone did an amazing job and helped document one of the most meaningful events in my writing career.
Our filmmakers work within QWOCMAP's Film AS Movement framework, matching aesthetic choices to social justice implications, community accountability, and ethics. We consider who tells a story and who controls it.
We handle every stage, from first conversation to final delivery, with the craft to do it well and the values to do it right.
We make films that move audiences and movements. And we stay accountable to the communities in the frame.
If you are interested in creating a film, PSA, training video, sample work, or other types of film and media for your organization, we'd love to partner with you.
About working with QWOCMAP Productions
Fill out the Productions Request Form above with a few details about your project, and we'll reach out to schedule a conversation. The more context you can share up front (timeline, audience, goals, budget range) the closer we can get to your goals through productive discussion.
We're based in San Francisco and regularly work throughout the Bay Area. Travel for production shoots is possible depending on project scope and budget. Let's talk through what your project needs.
Yes. Our productions engage QWOCMAP Filmmakers who have completed our programs, creating both high-quality content and meaningful community impact.
Pricing is handled case by case, based on project scope, length, deliverables, and crew requirements. Reach out through the form above and we'll set up a conversation to scope your project and share an estimate.
Both, but they're different services. This page is about creating new work with us. To screen or license films from our catalog of 515+ films by LBTQIA+ people of color, visit Watch Films → Distribution. For curated screenings designed around your event, visit Services → Bring QWOCMAP to You.
Every project starts with a conversation to understand your story, audience, and goals. From there, we move through concept and story development, filming and production, editing and sound, and final delivery, staying in close collaboration with you at each stage. Timelines vary by project scope and length: short-form work like PSAs, testimonials, and event documentation can run a few weeks to a few months, while longer-form films take much longer. We'll scope a realistic timeline with you at the start.
Our clients include nonprofits, foundations, arts organizations, and individual artists. Past clients include Funders for Immigrant and Refugee Issues, San Francisco Women Against Rape, and the 7th Generation Fund for Indian Development.
We produce films, PSAs, training videos, testimonials, documentation of events and organizational milestones, sample work for filmmakers, and short-form media for campaigns. Our work ranges from full-service films (concept through final delivery) to specific production services within a larger project.
