Tides Converge (fka Thoreau Center for Sustainability)

After 19 years in the same little blue house on Cook Street, QWOCMAP was displaced from our offices due to the sale of the building. Like so many nonprofits in San Francisco, the search for a new home was a challenge as founder Madeleine Lim and the QWOCMAP staff toured multiple office spaces across the city. We received technical assistance from the Nonprofit Space Stabilization Program, which was incredibly helpful in matching our vision for the new office.

Our new address is 1014 Torney Avenue, Suite 111, San Francisco, CA 94129.

We’re housed at Tides Converge in the Presidio, which offers abundant natural light, a view of the Golden Gate bridge, and a great campus feeling among other nonprofit organizations.

We’re also close to new neighbors like the San Francisco Film Centre, Lucasfilm, and Industrial Light and Magic. When you come to visit QWOCMAP, take a picture at the Yoda fountain (yes, that Yoda, “do or do not. there is no try.”)

Directions

We’re easily reachable by public transportation and there is ample space in the back parking lot with a smaller parking lot in the front, as well as 2 handicapped spots (with placards) nearer to the front entrance of the building.
