About Filmmaker(s)

Justice Singleton (pronouns he/him ) is a black trans educator, screenwriter, director, actor, poet, stand-up comedian and drag burlesque artist who lives in New Orleans. Originally from Los Angeles, Justice is the child of acclaimed director John Singleton. His education from his father has inspired him to directed and produced several short films including Black Light which was featured at Black Star Film Festival. In 2018, Justice began community writers rooms that inspire radical education and systemic storytelling. Ever since Justice continues to work as a television and independent film imagineer, actor, stand-up comedy and drag performer and co-stars in a podcast called Imposter Syndrome Survivor’s Club. Currently, Justice Singleton spends time writing, teaching workshops, managing a farm and performing comedy in New Orleans.
