ENCORE: Queer Families Belong

Watch anytime between September 11-21. Who counts as family. Who gets to define it. A pregnancy that rewrites the household. A 29- year-old trans musician and a 79-year-old lesbian archivist building something together. A daughter asking her father why he left. A queer couple cooking lunch for a skeptical mother. A father whose love never once flinched. These films are about the families we’re born into, the ones we build, and the work it takes to hold any of them together.

The family is the one place where most of us are taught that we ought to belong. We love that queer and trans folx choose and ferociously protect family configurations where we can all belong. QWOCMAP regularly programs screenings where we can explore, imagine, and create what kin, community, and family means to each of us.
